About Dr. David
A chemist by training, Dr. David brings a scientist's discipline — and two decades between Vietnam and Singapore — to how he advises, invests and builds.
Born in Vietnam and trained as a scientist, Dr. David earned a PhD in Chemistry from Le Mans University in France before being recruited to Singapore — first to research at the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences, and later at The Dow Chemical Company. He then earned an MBA at Nanyang Business School, NTU, turning a rigorous scientific mind toward enterprise.
In 2013 he founded VietCham Singapore, today recognised by the Singapore Business Federation as an official Trade Association and Chamber for the Vietnamese business community. What began as a single idea has grown into an ecosystem spanning trade, investment, technology, sustainability and community, with a network across five countries.
Colleagues call him the matchmaker — the one who helps Vietnamese founders navigate a new market, understand its rules, and stand on their own feet. To date, his ventures have supported more than 500 businesses in reaching the world.
